Occurances in house
Doors opening and closing, noises, footsteps, smells (burnt flesh), Rocking chair movement, Shadow figures
We were on vacation and stopped at the house of some relation in a City in Kentucky that they had told us they were having problems in. The problems were sounds, objects moving and something apparently bothering their child. So we decided to stop in and see them since we were returning by that route. Upon getting there my wife and his wife went sightseeing and left me alone in the house. i set up my camcorder and my Tri-field in the living room. I started just asking questions.
What is your name? No response. Is there anything you would like to say? No response. Is there any message that you would like to give. My Tri-field meter pegged out and after that i could not get any more reaction out of it. I did a interview of the couple living there and found out a few things about the house, mainly there had been several previous occupants. There had been a old man who had died of a heart-attack by the back door, an old woman had died there and they "think" a young boy had been burned in the house. Both the husband and the wife practice a healing meditation which basically uses energy waves. While we were sitting there talking the wife told me there was someone standing behind her and the husband told me to look at his arm and the hair on his right arm was all standing up. The bedroom their son stayed in had a closet door that would open and close by itself and sometimes their son would not sleep in that room. One night they were trying to sleep and the boy woke up crying, so the husband went and got him and brought him in their bed. The footsteps continued so he sat up in bed and said "You have scared our son, We are trying to sleep so would you please leave us alone." He said all was quiet for about 15 to 20 minutes then the bedroom door opened about 10 inches and the rest of the night all was quiet.
I started by setting my Infrared Video Camera up and pointing it in the boys bedroom and then going to my room to read a book while my Tri-field went on a dresser by our bed. I heard several noises that I could not explain, doors opening and closing, thuds etc... Then about 1:35 AM i heard footsteps and thought it was the owners going to bathroom so disregarded it and wished I had not!! I went out at 2 AM and shut the camera off and went to sleep. My wife woke up at 3 AM to go the bathroom and my Tri-field was pegged out and she would not get out of bed. The next morning I asked them if they had gotten up and they both said no. I had the husband walk across the floor upstairs etc and he did not make much noise. Upon getting home i set it up and listened to the tape. I have several noises that really perplex me on it. One is a thumping sound that I "believe" came from the Tupperware container that my camera was sitting on. But the biggest one is the footsteps. They start at the bottom of the step and come up to the bathroom door and then you hear the door open and close and then a bunch of noise in there and something like a lid on a medicine bottle hitting the sink counter. Then the footsteps come out and go back down the stairs. Really heavy footsteps that sounded like the person had hard-soles shoes on.I have no answer for this except speculation. The man that died from the heart attack: What if he came upstairs to get some medicine out and then went back downstairs and had his heart attack and died? They say most residual events occur because of tramatic event. You decide cause I can't! After we went home i called back down to talk to them. He told me the night we left he went into the room that we stayed in and when he opened the door, something came off the bed and then the rocking chair started moving 6 - 8 inches back and forth. So he closed the door and left.. So far i have a "breathe sound" on tape and the footsteps.
